How to attract more buyers. Curb appeal is the first thing that buyers are gonna look at when they step out of the car before they even go into your house. So make sure you got new mulch, new flowers if it's necessary, the lawn is mowed. If you have a terrible paint color, if you know the paint is really chipped and bad on your house, maybe it's time to consider adding a new fresh coat of paint on the outside to really get that curb appeal going, so buyers have a good feeling before they even walk into the house, and it'll really shine in the pictures.
Second is interior paint. Paint is one of the cheapest things that you can do that changes the entire look of the house. You might love that dark, dark green or that red color in some of the rooms, but it's best to stay neutral, so for only maybe 1,500, $2,000, you can paint the inside of your house. It goes a long way, buyers today like the neutrals, so we're going with tans and the off white, gray-bluish kind of fuse that's really in right now. Consider painting the inside of the house if it's been a while since it's been painted, or just touch up little areas that you know have been dinged up, it makes a big difference in how the home appears to buyers as they're walking through.
Third, just maybe consider updating the kitchen or the bathrooms prior to putting the home on the market. I'm not talking about a huge remodel but maybe a new backsplash if the backsplash is really dated, maybe just reface the cabinets, put on new doors, little things like that, or even just new hardware, the knobs that go on your doors, just changing those up from something a little less modern to more modern can really go a long way with how the kitchen and the bathroom presents to buyers.
