Where should you live when you’re moving to Parkland?

It really just depends on the lifestyle you want. Are you looking for gated, no HOA, large lots, you know, the big clubhouse with all the amenities. There’s a lot of different types of neighborhood within Parkland. So where should you live is kind of subjective, just depends on the kind of neighborhood that you’re looking for. So let’s talk about a couple of different types of neighborhoods that I see we have in Parkland.

So first let’s start with like, the big clubhouse neighborhoods where you have the big clubhouse with the community pool, and the gym, and all the amenities. Now these lists, when I give you these names of these neighborhoods, this is super subjective. These are just my favorite neighborhoods, personally, where I see a lot of my clients, you know, the neighborhoods that I see them like.

So don’t take any offense to this if you’re watching this and you’re living in a neighborhood that isn’t mentioned. These just tend to be my personal favorite and that are neighborhoods that I think you should check out if you’re considering moving to Parkland.

So first, for clubhouse neighborhoods, I’m a big fan of Watercrest.

So Watercrest was built by a custom home builder, or semi-custom home builders so there’s a lot of differences in some of these models. It’s really good quality construction. I, personally, like the style in Watercrest. And you get the big clubhouse with, you know, the tennis courts, the gym, all the kind of amenities that you want.

I’m a big fan of Watercrest.

Other neighborhoods you could look at would be Heron Bay, Parkland Golf and Country Club, Cascata, or Parkland Bay.

All of these homes have very similar amenities with the big country club style clubhouse. You got the pools, they’re great for kids, they’re great for families. There’s a lot of great stuff in some of these communities if you’re looking for the big clubhouse.

Now with the clubhouse obviously comes a little bit higher HOA. You’re paying for those amenities, but if you like those amenities, they’re great for families.

I see a lot of families moving with kids because they, maybe they don’t wanna have the pool in their backyard, but they’d rather have it at the clubhouse and the kids could socialize with other kids in the neighborhood. So those are my favorite clubhouse neighborhoods in Parkland.

Now if you’re looking for no HOA, there’s really only two neighborhoods in Parkland that have no HOA. So that would be Pine Tree Estates, and The Ranches.

So both of these homes, both of these neighborhoods are on acre lots.

The Ranches can get up to 5 acres. It can be, you know, really, really big lots there.

Pine Tree Estates and The Ranches, you gotta know that those homes are on well and septic. They’re not on city water and city sewer. So if you’re not familiar with that, you gotta make sure that you do your homework and you understand that. When you do your inspections, you want to make sure someone can inspect the septic tank, and all that kind of stuff.

But with Pine Tree Estates and The Ranches, if you like no HOA, those are great options for you to look at.

Now if you’re looking for large lots, a couple of my favorite would be Cypress Head. That is my favorite large lot community. There’s a relatively small HOA there. It’s a little bit over $200 per month, but you do get a clubhouse.

It’s not the same kind of clubhouses that you’ll get in, you know, at Watercrest or Heron Bay, but you do get a nice clubhouse. It’s manned, guard-gated. And all the lots there are like half an acre to up to an acre. A lot of them have nice waterfront views of the big lake in Cypress Head. I, personally, grew up in Cypress Head so maybe I’m a little bit biased.

I really love the neighborhood. It was a great childhood growing up. Lots of kids were in the neighborhood. And recently what I’ve seen is a lot of the older people, you know, my parent’s generation who raised us here, a lot of them have moved out. There’s been a big turnover and well, you know, my parents are still there, but when I drive through the neighborhood now, I’m seeing a lot more younger families pushing the stroller.

So it’s nice to see that it still has that homey kind of feel and a new generation of kids get to enjoy it.

So, if you’re looking for lower HOA neighborhoods, so where you still maybe get some amenities, but not as big as Heron Bay or something like that, you can take a look at Parkland Isles, Fox Ridge, and Meadow Run.

Those are three of my favorite neighborhoods. They all have amenities.

So Parkland Isles has a clubhouse they got the community pool. You know they got tennis, it probably has—it does have the most amenities out of any of these other neighborhoods.

But Fox Ridge and Meadow Run are both also very, very nice neighborhoods. You typically get one story, triple split floor plan.

There’s an Amenity Island, so to speak, in both of those neighborhoods where you’ll have tennis courts, you get open green space. You know, playgrounds for the kids.

You just don’t have the big community pool, and gym, and all that kind of stuff in Fox Ridge and Meadow Run. But they’re really, really nice neighborhoods.

I’ve known a lot of people that we’ve put into houses in there and they really, really love those neighborhoods.bAnd we’ve done videos on each of these individual neighborhoods.

So if you’re interested in learning more about those neighborhoods, make sure you check out our page. We got neighborhood tours on all these neighborhoods here in Parkland that I’m mentioning. You’re gonna love Parkland if you’re thinking about moving there.

Lastly, if you’re looking for a 55+ neighborhood, there’s two of them in Parkland. So you have Four Seasons, and you got The Falls.

Four Seasons was built by K. Hovnanian, which is a really big national builder. And they have only single family homes there. But they’re really nice single family homes.

They’re still finishing out the community. I’m actually going to show some homes in that community this weekend to someone who’s relocating to South Florida. But it’s a great neighborhood. You got new construction homes. They tend to be a little bit pricier, you’re in like that $800,00 to $1,000,000 range at least as of the time when I’m recording this video.

But they’re really nice, well-built homes. You got that clubhouse, you got, some of the homes have pools, but you got the neighborhood pool as well. It’s a good neighborhood.

And then you have The Falls, which has all those similar amenities. But you’ll have two different types of properties in The Falls.

You’ll have villas, which are attached one-story single family homes. And then you have single family homes as well. So, detached, the normal single family home that you would think of.

So those are my favorite 55+ neighborhoods.

So really, at the end of the day, if you’re moving to Parkland, if you wanna know where you should live, it always depends on the kind of lifestyle that you want, obviously your budget, and how much you want to pay for an HOA.

All those things factor in to what’s the right neighborhood for you. There’s no right or wrong answer, it’s super subjective. It just depends on your lifestyle.
